Quay Appointments have 1000 job vacancies in the Centralised Dec Vote and Sydney Count Centre located at Grace, Jenko and Kelly Pavilions, Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush.
Working Hours – 8.30am to 5.30pm (you must be available to work the full 8.5 hour day)
Working days will be Monday to Saturday. You must be available to work all days. The centre will be closed on Sundays.
Key Dates:
· Election day is Saturday 14 September - Material Receipt and Gate Keeper Officers commence work
· Sunday 15 September, Initial Reconciliation Officer + Gate Keeper commence work
· Monday 16 September – Scrutiny and Batching commences
· Tuesday 17 September – Initial Count, Batching, Amalgamation and Count Gate Keeper commences work
· Wednesday 18 September – Extraction and Count Data Entry commences work
· Friday 27 September – Initial Count, Batching and Scrutiny Completed
· Saturday 28 September – Extraction and Count Data Entry Completed
All work has been assessed on expected quantity of ballot papers however as this quantity is not known until after Election Day, we can only estimate the proposed end dates.
Training will be a combination of online and practical on the job, at commencement of your first shift, under the direction of your Supervisor and NSWEC Training Team.
200 Scrutiny Officers
• Review returned declaration votes to determine if the vote should be accepted or rejected
